Vivace Arcana Tarot Deck

Vivace Arcana is a 78-card tarot deck where I reinterpret classic tarot symbols through a photographic narrative. Inspired by the Rider Waite system, this project reimagines familiar archetypes with a more cinematic and contemporary visual language while staying connected to traditional tarot symbolism. In this photographic deck, each figure exists in the brief moment just before the shutter clicks, standing on the edge of becoming a symbol.

For me, the deck is also a creative storytelling experiment about symbols, archetypes, and human experience. Alongside the cards, I wrote 22 short stories, each connected to a Major Arcana card. In these stories, I imagined the archetypes as living characters. The journey begins with The Fool and ends with The World, following Fool as he moves through different scenes and encounters other archetypes. Along the way, he learns, loses direction, begins again, and tries to find his place within the archetypal world of tarot.

Some stories are quiet, some absurd, and some playful. Rather than explaining tarot, my aim was to reveal the atmosphere and emotion carried by the cards.
