Van Gogh Oracle Deck

I have always seen Vincent van Gogh’s works as an artistic language that expresses universal themes of the human spirit. To me, each painting represents a specific emotion. This personal connection inspired the idea of combining the paintings with short texts I wrote myself.

Over time, these connections evolved into the idea of a forty-eight-card deck. The cards are designed as a tool for inner reflection while also encouraging people to discover the artist more closely. Rather than predicting the future, the deck acts as a mirror reflecting the inner landscape of the present moment. Each card offers guidance in the search for awareness and balance, allowing people to encounter their own shadow.

The deck focuses on four core themes:

• Self and Identity: Exploring one’s essence and strengthening the inner foundation.
• Connection and Emotion: Deepening relationships with ourselves and others.
• Life Cycles and Growth: Embracing change and transformation.
• Spirit & Expansion: Aligning with inner purpose and uncovering potential.

As a physical continuation of the virtual gallery project I designed under Studio La Gazelle, this work transforms the Van Gogh universe I built in digital space into a tangible design object that can be used in everyday life.
